With Thor over 14 pounds at 8 months, we needed a new pet carrier as this one below no longer was large enough for him.
We still use this small carrier for Siggy and Freya, both weighing about 10 pounds.

Thor is expected to be a 25-pound fully grown Maine Coon.
We were especially appreciative not only about its size but by the three access points and slim portability.
We just picked up Thor and dropped him into the carrier from the top access point.
We also liked the collapsible design. It folds into a large slim briefcase size. You can also see Thor’s size next to it.
We most recently used the carrier for Siggy who needed to update her shots at the vet. Normally she would have been put in that smaller carrier above, and the process of dumping her into it, would spark hisses and even scratches. But she was so comfortable in the new big carrier than she hopped up on the vet’s table without prompting and had a wonderful vet visit at All Pets Animal Hospital in Ames.
