Here is one of my favorite clips of Freya and Siggy in their morning ritual, grooming each other before they start their day.

If your cats groom each other, it is an act of friendship. In the feral world, only bonded cats in the clan do this. The same holds for indoor cats.

Freya and Siggy are Maine Coons with long hair, especially on the butt area. They make sure they clean that, too, working with each other on hard to reach places.

Often we say that cats are aloof. Maybe so. But they aren’t aloof with floof, if they care for each other!
