Michael Bugeja, guardian of Freya and Siggy, decided to create this website to watch the development of his kittens and to provide information to other cat guardians, especially ones who have Maine Coons.

But that is only one reason for video recording pets. You do so for the same reason parents, aunts and uncles document babies and children. You can watch them develop, relive precious moments, and share your joy with others.

There are several Facebook groups for Maine Coons, but most of the posts are photographs. That’s fine. But videos capture so much more.

Creating them with a cell phone is as easy as taking a photograph. But making them into a movie, which my Samsung android does, takes a bit more skill. Here’s a video with title page and audio, all produced with a mobile phone:

The video was easily uploaded to YouTube moments after creating it, again from my cell phone.

Take time to understand the software on your mobile phone. Experiment with videos of your kittens and cats. Join a Facebook group and share your recordings, inspiring others to do the same.
