Michael Bugeja, owner of Maine Coon Adventures, is a dual citizen of Malta and the United States. He is especially fond of the stray cats of Għajnsielem, Gozo, the ancestral home of his family. Visit this site to see those.

According to the site, some 350,000 stray cats live on Malta and Gozo. More than 1,000 people help feed and care for them, showcasing the Maltese love of felines.
